we have been going to the george for over 6 years now, whether just the two of us or large parties of 22 people, it is the best pub/restaurant in north kent and our large circle of friends eat out a lot, why is the george so great? the george is not a pretentious up its self venue, the special menu is so varied, the staff are helpful and friendly and enjoy a giggle, the olde english historic building with its fireplace and other interesting artefacts make this place a gem to visit, and the main reason.... good wholesome freshly homemade food, with traditional dishes. I came here not long ago, and I found the food absolutely wonderful! A few of us had the Ham, egg and chips which was lovely! And I came here for lunch a few days ago, and the cheesy chips are delicious! I think the food is excellent, the prices are high, but the food is worth it! The bouncy castle and play area was great for our children, but my daughter didn't want to go in the toilets due to the long-legged spider on the wall! But well worth traveling here; an excellent countryside pub! 8)

We have been to the george many time's and have never been disappointed ... well worth the 22,780 miles round trip ... Will be back again soon come July. Looking forward to seeing the friendly faces of all. All the best SI.

Hi, Came and ate here today and it was lovely, the staff all friendly and welcoming- My Husband and I brought my parents with us and my Mum who is so difficult to please - she really loved the Cod and ate it all, she never usually have pudding out and had Apple pie and ice cream and ate it all to, my Hubby and I had the roast and they were cooked perfectly, see you all again on father's day :) Many Thanks for a lovey meal and will be highly recommending you to all our family and friends :) Pudd & Pauline Johns :)

We have eaten here several times, reccommended by our friends. The food is so fresh and the home cooked stuff is really home cooked - makes a change for these days! the staff are really friendly. highly reccommend.

What a pub!

i came in to eat last monday and had the most delicious fishcakes, the salad was fresh and the chips were crispy and golden. the service was fanastic and the young lady and gentleman who served me were very attentive and extremely polite. i have spoken to a few of my friends and we will be dining at the george again soon! thankyou

I came here for sunday lunch and i have to say that the sirloin i had was easily the best beef in the universe i would love to know who their butcher is. The service was amazing although i think the waitresses should wear a little less and the cherry brandy was especially nice. I would recommend this establishment.
